Le Book Moderne (LBM) is a collaborative partnership of internationally acclaimed illustrators, writers and musicians that produces unique, imaginative and engaging children's entertainment. Le Book Moderne seeks to serve communities by building partnerships and sharing profits with local non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the health and welfare of children.

This company was founded on the vision that companies can make ethical decisions, make a profit and benefit the community in which they do business. The principals of Le Book Moderne are experienced professionals in their fields and just happen to be related as family. When we say "family run" we mean it literally.

Greg Carr, chief managing partner, illustrator and artistic director, is married to Heather Carr our graphic design specialist and author of The Jiggleworm. Michael St. James' is our managing partner and creative services director, as well as the musician who wrote and performed the music on
The Jiggleworm.

Core Values:

We believe no person, especially children, should be harmed or exploited in the making of children's products. We choose not to manufacture our products in countries widely perceived to not adhere to U.N. humanitarian agreements and fair labor practices.

We support Book Sense and the independent bookstores that they represent. We support libraries and their efforts to spark children's interest and imagination. Independent bookstores and libraries provide everyone, particularly parents and their children, with an invaluable resource for education and entertainment, while directly impacting the communities they serve.

Our Partnership with Children's Miracle Network:
On April 14, 2005 we officially became an affiliate partner with Children's Miracle Network. Le Book Moderne donates $1.50 from each GiggleTin™ purchased to Children's Miracle Network which benefits The Children's Hospital in Denver and the National Jewish Medical and Research Center. We are initially focusing on Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska for the first GiggleTin™ release but hope to expand our business and partnership nationwide to benefit many Children's Hospitals around the country. LBM and its principals have personally experienced the invaluable role that The Children's Hospital in Denver has played in our community and we feel it is important to establish an ongoing relationship that helps to ensure their continued growth and success.

Jennifer Lackey, Director of Rocky Mountain Children’s Miracle Network, has this to say: "We are so pleased to partner with Le Book Moderne/GiggleTins™ in helping to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network.  The generosity of Le Book Moderne/GiggleTins™ will allow Children's Miracle Network to fund many important projects including the construction of The Children's Hospital's new facility at the Fitzsimons campus and to assist the pediatric programs such as the Kunsberg School at National Jewish Medical and Research Center.  I applaud Le Book Moderne for investing in the future of children and families in our own community and for their philosophy of giving back."

Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping hospitalized kids by raising funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals. These premier hospitals affiliated with CMN help 14 million kids each year - kids with cancer, birth defects, AIDS, accident trauma and every affliction imaginable. These specialized children's hospitals are the finest in the world, providing quality, kid-centered care to every child who needs it.
The founding pledge of CMN is that 100% of the funds stay in the community where they were raised. In Colorado, Wyoming and Southern Nebraska, these funds benefit The Children's Hospital and National Jewish Medical and Research Center.
